Mugen Restaurant

Mugen - Chinese, Indonesian and Thai restaurant is on 100 feet road Indiranagar, Bangalore.
What Mugen has going for it is that
a) It has parking space
b) The food is really good. And it is hard to find good Chinese food in Bangalore. Moreover our Srilankan food expert who is extremely fussy also appreciated the food at Mugen.
c) It is a really nice place (it looks better than it appears in that bad image on the top, that I didn't take)
d) The booze is surprisingly cheap and the cocktails are good.

However Mugen is on 100 feet road Indiranagar so you have to wade through really bad traffic in the evenings.
However it is must visit for anyone who likes Chinese food and is willing to pay around 700 to 800 rupees for a really nice dinner for two. Please book your table though before you go, especially on the weekends.

Burial - Untrue

Burial is the newest sensation in dance music genre in London (well not so new). His first album was self titled and was apparently more dark than this one - untrue.
Actually Burial is credited as the originator of a sub genre of Dance called dub step. Our expert on electronic music has told us that dub step works on the principle of inconsistent beats. So there are gaps in the tracks and these gaps in beats are filled by dance moves of people dancing to the tracks.
I could recognize tracks on untrue as something one could dance to only after I tuned up the volume so maybe you will have to do the same.

Untrue is just a fabulous album, whether you dance to it or not. The sounds are truly strange and inspire in the listener a sort of an unexplained atmosphere, that some say is of early morning London.

To read further about Burial and Untrue and find out where to get the album from go to

And, yeah one more thing, Burial has never performed live in London or anywhere else and his identity is more or less concealed from all but his closest friends.

Anyway have a listen to the album if you get an opportunity.

Articles on open democracy are put together by some of the most renowned journalists and analysts around the world. Another thing that OD has going for it is that once you become a member (which is free) they constantly update you on what is happening on the site by email and unlike many other similar services, OD's mailing service is really effective.
